What to look for between appointments
Once a month, in good light, look over your whole body including scalp, ears, lips, neck and the backs of your hands and arms. You are looking for anything new, anything changing in size, shape or colour, anything that bleeds or does not heal within a few weeks. Ask someone to check your back and scalp.
A sore that will not heal, a rough scaly patch that keeps returning, a lump that grows, or a mark that changes. Early is easy. Late is not. If in doubt, go.
No. Sunscreen is one layer. Cover, shade and timing do the heavier work, and sunscreen fills the gaps between them.
At least once a year with someone trained to look at skin, and sooner if you notice a change. Confirm the recommendation with our clinical partners
