Stories

Ordinary lives, told properly. Every story here is published by the person it belongs to.

Read

All stories

Consent comes before publication, always Each story needs recorded consent covering the text, the photograph and the name. For anyone under 18: written consent from a parent or guardian plus the child's own assent, and first names by default. Consent can be withdrawn at any time and we take the story down.

Tell your story

You keep control of it. All of it.

You choose what is included, whether your surname appears, whether a photograph is used, and whether it stays up. Nothing is published until you have read it back and said yes.

  • We record the conversation, you approve the write-up
  • You can be named, first-name-only, or anonymous
  • Photographs are optional
  • You can withdraw at any point, before or after publication

Nominate a story

Your own, or someone whose story deserves telling. We will ask them first.
