Put yourself in the picture.
If you have albinism, your photograph teaches a machine what a person with albinism actually looks like. It takes very little from you and it changes what millions of generated images look like next year.
How it works
Four steps, and you can stop at any of them.
Get in touch
Fill in the form or message us. We will explain everything before you commit to anything.
Read and sign
The consent form is short and in plain language. Ask us anything you are unsure about.
Be photographed
Describe how sessions run: where, how long, who takes the photographs
Stay in control
You get a record of what you contributed and a direct route to withdraw it.
Before you decide
Three honest things
One. Your image will be used to train artificial intelligence models. That is the whole point of the library, and it is not reversible once a model has learned from it.
Two. You do not have to do this to be part of Black Albinism. Nothing else we offer depends on it.
Three. If you are under 18, we need a parent or guardian to agree as well as you, and we will ask you separately whether you actually want to.

You can help build it too
Photographers, community groups and organisations working with persons with albinism can run a contribution session with our consent process and standards.
What we would send you
- The consent form and how to run it properly
- Capture guidance, including lighting for very low contrast skin
- Labelling standard
- Whether external contributions are open yet
