Black Albinism Football Club · Nairobi

BA FC is the football club of Black Albinism. Men's and women's teams, players with and without albinism, one squad. We play to win and we play to be seen.

Club statement

A pitch does not care what your skin does in the sun. It only asks whether you can play.

Sport was never a side project for us. For a young person with albinism, being picked for a team is often the first time in their life that a group of strangers wanted them specifically.

BA FC fields mixed teams, players with albinism and players without, training and competing together. We schedule around the sun rather than pretending it is not there: early and late kick-offs, shade on the touchline, hats, long sleeves, sunscreen in the kit bag. Nobody is asked to choose between playing and their skin.

We are always looking for teams to play. Corporate sides, community clubs, school teams, bring eleven and a referee and we will bring the rest.

Kick-off times are set to avoid peak UV wherever the fixture list allows. If we are playing at midday, expect long sleeves.

Support the club

Bring a team. Fund a season.

Kit, boots, transport to fixtures, sunscreen and shade on the touchline, and a pitch to train on. A charity match funds more of that than a donation form ever will.
